The LFC International Academy is celebrating the conclusion of another successful series of soccer school programmes across Scandinavia this summer.

More than 60 LFC Academy coaches were welcomed in over 32 different locations across Norway, Denmark, Finland and Sweden, delivering three-day soccer school programmes to almost 2,500 players over a two-month period.

In Norway, the club achieved a record attendance of 219 players in Bergen alone, making this course the largest LFC soccer school to date.

LFC International Academy’s coaching resource manager, Anthony Godfrey, explained why, after 11 years in Scandinavia, the International Academy programme is as strong as ever.

"As always, it gives us great pleasure to take our coaching programme out to Scandinavia as it is so well received by our fantastic and loyal LFC supporters," he said.

"Knowing that we can give these players in Scandinavia a real LFC Academy experience both on and off the pitch is great as we know that not all of them will have the chance to visit Anfield.

"We take huge satisfaction from the individual development made by the players on these programmes. I would also like to congratulate all ‘The Liverpool Way’ award winners from our courses this summer and we look forward to seeing them at one of the LFC Academy Soccer Schools in the near future."

This coming October, the coaches are set to return to Norway for the next leg of Scandinavian programmes, with courses taking place in Sarpsborg, Bardufoss and Ăndalsnes from October 3-12.
