There was a special surprise for participants of the latest Soccer School at the LFC Academy on Tuesday as first-team player Danny Ings paid a visit.

Ings took a break from his busy training schedule to drop by and surprise the kids who are currently taking part in a five-day Soccer School, which is being run by the LFC International Academy.

The forward watched the coaching drills going on before talking to children, signing autographs and having photos taken.

Talking about Ings’ surprise visit, head of LFC Soccer Schools, Dan White, said: “It’s always great to see first-team players drop in to surprise kids taking part in the courses ran by the International Academy here at Kirkby.

“Danny spent a lot of time talking with the children and giving them an insight in to life as an LFC player. It was an unforgettable moment for the children who got the opportunity to meet one of our first team players in the flesh.”

Soccer Schools take place at the Academy in Kirkby throughout the school holidays, with places still available on courses in August.
