The all-new LFC stadium tour opens today
From today, visitors to Anfield can take the all-new LFC stadium tour.
After the completion of the Main Stand expansion in 2016, the club had the opportunity to completely revamp its stadium tour. By working with lifelong LFC fans and local writers, Dave Kirby and Nicky Allt, supporters and visitors to the city will now take in a very unique and exciting experience.
Each visitor will use a multimedia handset throughout their visit – these clever devices allow the user to fully immerse themselves in their surroundings.
Enjoy epic views of the pitch and the city landscape from the top level of the Main Stand. Interact with the handset’s 360-degree video to see and hear Anfield’s unique matchday atmosphere for yourself.
See where your heroes prepare for the big game in the new home-team dressing room and point the handset at each players' shirt to trigger exclusive videos and interviews.
Meanwhile, in the new away-team changing facilities, an LFC legend reveals his toughest opposition team.
Practice your interview technique in a lively press conference with your tour guide in the new press room.
Touch the This is Anfield sign before taking a spine-tingling walk down the new players’ tunnel. Use your handset here to experience the Anfield roar on a matchday.
You’ll get a chance to sit in the manager’s dugout and then finish your tour in the world-famous Kop to the sound of You’ll Never Walk Alone.
At each stage of the tour you’ll also use the handset to discover the club’s early history, learn more about iconic managers, relive European victories and hear supporters share their own personal memories and stories of what being a Red means to them.
Tom Cassidy, head of tourism at LFC, said: “We have built this new experience following feedback from visitors who have been on a previous version of our stadium tour and just as importantly, those who haven’t. It’s important to get the right balance between our amazing tour guides and what the handset’s technology can bring.”
The tour is now available in eight languages: Spanish, German, French, Italian, Thai, Indonesia, Arabic and Chinese Mandarin.

Ticket prices are £20 for adults, £15 for students/seniors and £12 for children under 16. Your ticket also includes entry into The Liverpool FC Story museum, featuring the fabulous exhibition, The Steven Gerrard Collection.
