Liverpool FC's Red Neighbours team lent their support to the Trussell Trust on Tuesday at the launch of their latest foodbank in Anfield.

The new centre - Trussell Trust’s 11th in North Liverpool - will run out of Christ Church, directly opposite the Kop, every Tuesday morning and will offer people in need a friendly smile, breakfast and hot drinks while their food parcel is assembled.

Food poverty and education is one of the key focus areas of the Red Neighbours programme, and the team work closely with the Trussell Trust, St Andrew’s Network and Fans Supporting Foodbanks to help local residents in need.

Foodbank collections take place at each home game at Anfield, with all donations going to the North Liverpool Foodbanks. Supporters attending home games can drop off any non-perishable food donations at the collection points, which are located on Anfield Road, next to the club’s Family Park, and inside the new LFC Anfield superstore.
