Members of the local community enjoyed a special evening at Anfield on Saturday thanks to the club's Red Neighbours programme.

Guests from nearby schools, community centres and charitable organisations were invited to watch the FA Cup clash with West Bromwich Albion from an executive box in the Main Stand, where they were visited by club CEO Peter Moore and Reds legends Ian Rush and David Johnson.

Children from St Francis de Sales Catholic Junior School, who received tickets from main club sponsor Standard Chartered, were given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to greet the LFC and West Brom teams as they arrived at the stadium.

Local organisations Homeground, LiveWire Liverpool and Creative Support also brought guests to enjoy the Anfield hospitality after club partner Thomas Cook Sport donated tickets to the Anfield Beat lounge, with many of the group attending a Liverpool match for the very first time.

Red Neighbours focuses on four main areas within the L4, L5 and L6 postcodes - food poverty and education, creating memorable experiences for young people, encouraging a physically active community and support for the elderly community.
