Jürgen Klopp has explained the reasons behind his decision to make seven changes to the Liverpool team for today's Premier League meeting with Burnley.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Philippe Coutinho, Ragnar Klavan, Simon Mignolet, James Milner, Andy Robertson and Daniel Sturridge come into the starting XI at Anfield.

“It was about the intensity of the games and the quality of the squad,” said the manager, referencing the clashes with Manchester City and Sevilla during the past week.

“There’s no doubt that the line-up we found today is a very strong one. It’s a good situation.

“I told the boys already, this is a wonderful line-up but we shouldn’t rely on this. It’s all about finding the right attitude. I know the boys are ready to work but we also need to be ready not to get frustrated if different situations don’t come through, and not lose confidence because this or that doesn’t work. We need to enjoy the job, because that’s what Burnley are doing.”
