Liverpool sent scouts to watch 19-year-old Brazilian youngster Malcom, according to reports.

The Reds were said to be watching the winger closely during Bordeaux's 3-0 defeat to Paris Saint Germain at the weekend.

The youngster was considered one of the best young stars in Brazil during his time with Corinthians, where he scored 10 goals in 73 appearances before a move to France in 2015.

He has since scored five goals in 22 appearances in Ligue 1. He has also represented Brazil at youth level, getting to the U20 World Cup final with his country in 2015.

Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the forward.

Elsewhere this morning and Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo report that Liverpool are eyeing up a move for Espanyol defender Marc Navarro.

The Reds are said to have been monitoring the right-back, who has broken into the Espanyol team this year.

Navarro, 21, has recently been promoted to Espanyol's senior ranks having played for their B team since 2014.

The Spaniard is believed to have a £21.3million release clause in the contract which he has recently signed, which is set to keep him at the La Liga club until 2021.
