Liverpool have upped their bid for Roma star Mohamed Salah, according to reports in Egypt.

Jurgen Klopp has made Salah his number one target this summer as he looks to add pace and creativity to his attack.

But Roma are holding out for a big fee and have already knocked back a £28million offer for the winger.

The Serie A club are said to be looking for around £44million (€50m) for the former Chelsea misfit.

But Egyptian publication Yallakora claim Liverpool have offered £35m up front (€40m) and £4m (€5) in add-ons.

Salah, 24, scored 15 goals and delivered 11 assists in Serie A last season.

And, despite a torrid time at Chelsea, the Egypt star is being lined up by Klopp.

The German is desperate to add to his side this summer having guided Liverpool back to the Champions League.

A creative spark is high on his list as is a centre-back.

And Salah is his number one man. Gelson Martins has also been monitored in case a Salah deal can’t be done.
