Liverpool will sign Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund at some point in the near future, according to reports.

Liverpool have long been tipped to sign Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund with the 19-year-old regarded as one of the most exciting players in world football.

Jurgen Klopp played a key role in the youngster’s development, helping him making his Dortmund debut.

A reunion has been mooted with Liverpool boosted by the sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, with the Reds now having the best part of £142million to spend on new recruits.

And Bleacher Report say it is a matter of when, and not if, Liverpool sign Pulisic - though any deal is unlikely to take place this winter.

Express Sport understands the Reds are locked in talks for Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez, who wants to leave the King Power Stadium for a new challenge elsewhere.

But the Algerian would prefer to join Arsenal and, should a bid from the Gunners come in, then a move to the Emirates would likely follow.

Liverpool have also been linked with Monaco’s Thomas Lemar.

But Bleacher Report say Pulisic is likeliest and may even be on his way to Anfield at the end of the current campaign.

Liverpool could even pay a huge £100m to get the deal done.

That would make him the fourth most-expensive player of all time, behind only Neymar, Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele.

Klopp is said to have told members of his coaching team of his desperation to snap Pulisic up.

And he thinks that paying such a huge amount for Pulisic would not be a gamble given his stunning ability.
