Napoli have slapped a £57.3million price tag on Liverpool target Piotr Zielinski.

That is according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, who say the Serie A side are determined to do all they can to hold on to the 23-year-old midfielder.

Polish international Zielinski has played 24 times in Serie A this season, helping Napoli to the top of Serie A as they bid to pip Juventus to the title.

But he has made just eight starts with 16 further appearances from the bench, scoring four times over the course of the league campaign so far.

Liverpool missed out on signing Piotr Zielinski two summers ago and now the Polish star has been dubbed 'better than Kevin De Bruyne'.

Attacking midfielder Zielinski has been destroying Serie A defences this season as part of table topping Napoli's all-conquering front line.

The 23-year-old has netted seven times including last week in their Europa League exit to RB Leipzig.

But he could have been tearing up Premier League back lines with Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mo Salah had an £11.75million bid been shunned by Udinese a year and a half ago.
